Hearing Tests
Part A: Speech-in-noise · Part B: High-frequency tone check
Put on headphones or earphones now. Device speakers cannot produce reliable results for this test. Find a quiet room before continuing.
Part A — Speech-in-Noise Test (6 trials)
- Press Play Trial — you will hear three spoken digits (e.g. "four… one… seven") embedded in background noise.
- Type the three digits you heard and press Submit. Make your best guess — do not leave it blank.
- You may replay once per trial if you completely missed it — try to answer on the first listen.
- Do not adjust your device volume during this test. The speech and noise are pre-mixed at a calibrated ratio — changing volume affects both equally and does not alter the screening level.

Part B — High-Frequency Tone Check
- Click L or R to play a tone in that ear. The tone plays for 2 seconds.
- Respond honestly — Heard it or Did not hear.
- Do not turn your volume up if you cannot hear — record it honestly as not heard.
- You do not need to test all frequencies — test the ones most relevant to you.
